The GemCam control panel offers a range of settings and functions that enable users to configure their preferred shooting mode.

Turntable angle settings

Users can choose the angle and speed of the GemLightbox Pro's turntable for their preferred shooting setup.

Once the turntable is connected, directional arrows will appear and allow you to control the turntable before shooting.

💡 If you notice overexposure in your images, try reconnecting or swapping the USB-C cable or restarting the GemHub app to recalibrate the GemCam.

Select the relevant GemLightbox scenario for the recommended settings based on the type of jewelry when using the GemCam.

Standard preset for the selected device.

White Gold

Recommended setting for white gold jewelry.

Loose Diamond

Recommended setting for loose diamonds.

Natural Hue

Recommended setting for showcasing the natural colors of your pieces.


Color Correction

The color correction button automatically adjusts the background colors of your images, enhancing their overall appearance and ensuring color consistency. This helps correct color imbalances, improve contrast, and achieve a more professional look for your images.

For the best outcome, ensure that your monitor is properly calibrated to display accurate colors and no additional filters are used.

Remove or turn off additional lightings as it can affect the image capture process.

Additionally, removing the mirrored cover can help increase focus alignment and image clarity.


Image Processing Parameters

Brightness

Raise the brightness to lighten the image and lower it to darken the image. This will uniformly impact the entire image.

Tone

Modify the tone to achieve a warmer or cooler appearance to the image.

Saturation

Adjust saturation to enhance or mute colors in your image.

Sharpness

Increase the sharpness to enhance the definition of the edges and details of the image and decrease it to create a softer, more diffused appearance.

Contrast

Enhances or decrease the distinction between the light and dark areas to make the image appear more vibrant and dynamic or softer and less defined.


Note:
You can also use the directional arrows on your keyboard for more precise control over the sliders.

1:1 Aspect Ratio
Perfect for e-commerce and social media platforms like Shopify and Instagram posts.

Provides a wider frames to capture larger pieces. 

4:5 Aspect Ratio
The preferred aspect ratio for vertical images on Instagram

9:16 Aspect Ratio
The preferred aspect ratio for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook stories and reels

1.91:1 Aspect Ratio
The preferred aspect ratio for horizontal images on X.


Each aspect ratio in The GemHub comes with resolution options tailored to your devices' needs. For devices like computers or laptops with limited screen size support, GemHub will automatically prompt you with the recommended maximum resolution, ensuring your visuals are optimized for your device's capabilities.


Videos record at a maximum resolution of 2160 x 2160 and images can be captured at a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160.


Camera And Video Function

This function allows you to toggle between image capture and video recording mode on your connected device.


Save Photos As 300 DPI

This allows for your images to save as 300DPI.


Enable Logo Watermark

This function will allows you to add watermark to your images while using the GemCam.

1.   Toggle on the Enable logo watermark and a window to upload logo will appear.

2.   Select the correct resolution setting before uploading the logo so that less adjustments are needed after the logos are loaded.

3.   Click and drag your logo or upload it through the ‘Browse File’ button. The logo can be uploaded in JPEG, JPG or PNG. For uploads in PNG, it will be loaded as a transparent file.

4.   Once loaded, your logo will show at the top of the preview screen.

Adjust the position of the logo by clicking and dragging the image to its desired position.

Each image can allow for up to 2 logos to be added.

You can remove or change each logo by selecting them individually.

Adjust the transparency of the logo by using the logo opacity slider.

5.   Once you’re finished, simply save the logo and its position, and you can start shooting!

Save Media to Local Disk

Your media files can now be saved directly to your local drive as you are using the GemCam for your photoshoot.

1.   After toggling the function on, a window prompt will appear for you to choose your preferred saving destination.

2.   Next, select your preferred saving location by clicking on the Change button

3.   Please note that the local disk’s free space should not be lesser than the value input, in this case, 100GB.

4.   If you'd like to change the save destination later, click the pencil icon 🖊️ next to the toggle button to update it.

5.   Once you have selected your preferred destination, click on ‘Save’ to confirm.

Reset to Default

This will revert any adjustments or changes made to the selected device only, restoring it to its initial state. Settings for other devices will remain unaffected.
