Managing and Customizing Share Settings in GemHub

GemHub's share settings allow you to control how your jewelry images and videos are shared.

You can personalize your product and catalog share links by adding your company’s branding and contact details. Create a lasting impression and reinforce your brand identity with a custom banner and logo, making shared content more engaging and visually appealing.

Accessing Share Settings

To access Share Settings, select “Share Settings” under your profile name in GemHub.

This section allows you to manage:

• Company Information

• Contact Details

• Banner Customization

These settings will apply when sharing links from product pages or collections.

Company Information

Company Logo

Your company’s logo will appear at the top of shared product and catalog pages.

• Format: .jpg or .png

• Maximum File Size: 10MB

• Recommended Width: 1000 pixels (maximum)

Company Description & Website

Provide a short description, website URL, and other relevant company information. 

This will appear in the footer of the share link page, helping users learn more about your business.

Contact Information

Add contact methods so users can easily get in touch. GemHub supports three options:

Email

Customers can send inquiries directly to your specified email.

Clicking “Chat Now” (on product links) or “Cart” (on collections links) prompts customers to fill out a form (name, email, contact number).

Both you and your customer will receive an email notification upon submission.

Both you and your customer will receive an email notification acknowledging the inquiry.

WhatsApp & Phone Number

Customers can initiate direct contact using WhatsApp or by calling your phone number.

The most suitable app or local dialer will open automatically based on the user’s device.

When they open the link, it will trigger the most used app or local line, depending on the device they are using.

Banner Customization

You can display a banner at the top of collections share links to enhance visual branding.

Default Banner

GemHub provides a standardised default banner design for your catalog links, ensuring a consistent and professional appearance when sharing.

Custom Image

Alternatively, you may also choose to upload your preferred banner to align with your brand if needed.

Please note that the file should be in .jpg, or .png format, with a maximum file size of 10MB and dimensions of 1920px by 400px.

Uploading a Banner

You may choose to either click on the Add Image ‘ button or drag and drop your customised banner.

If the banner image is larger or smaller than the recommended size, our crop function will adjust the image to fit the specified dimensions.

Upon saving, the banner will show at the top of the page in the share link.

Managing Link Share Settings in Product and Catalog

There are various controls available for managing product and catalog links shared with your customers.

These settings can be applied individually to different products or in bulk in a catalog.

Each product would have its own unique share link and changes in the settings will be directly reflected in the link. However, this settings will not be shared between product links.

Show Banner

This function will appear in the catalog share link settings or when multiple products are selected. Enabling it allows the banner to be displayed in the share link.

Show Company Logo

This function allows the company logo to be displayed when toggled on.

Show Company Info

This function allows the company information to be displayed when toggled on.

Show Contact Button

This function displays the Chat now, WhatsApp and contact number provided in the GemHub Share Settings within the share links, allowing your customers to connect with you directly.

Show Shopping Cart

This function will appear in the catalog share link settings or when multiple products are selected.

Your customers will be able to add products that they are interested in to send you enquiries directly by adding it to a collated shopping list.

This allows you to select one or multiple products within the share links and add them to cart. This works even if there is only one item in the share link. 

By clicking the Submit button, an email will be sent to the address you’ve specified in the GemHub Share Settings.

Expand Product Attributes

You will be able to expand or collapse the details of your product by toggling this function on or off.

Show Download Button

This function will appear in the catalog share link settings or when multiple products are selected.

Enabling it will allow users to be able to download the media files for each of the products in the share link.

When enabled, a check mark will appear in the top left of the item when hovering the mouse over it.

Clicking on the check mark selects the product, and you can continue selecting other products or choose Select All to select all items for download.

Once you have completed your selection, clicking on the Download button will allow the images and videos belonging to the product to download in .zip format.

Copy Link Function

The Copy Link function makes sharing easy—simply click the copy icon next to the link.

You can also preview your share link by clicking the Preview button, which will open a new tab in your browser.

Enabling Password

You will also be able to set a password for the share link so that only the receiver with the right password combination will be able to access the share link.

Setting Your Share Link Password

Simply click the checkbox next to Password required to enable the option, and input your preferred password. Ensure that the password contains at least 6 characters, including 1 letter and 1 number, with no spaces.

Once the password is set, click the checkmark to confirm it. If you forget the password, you can view it by toggling off the privacy button. You can also disable this option later by unchecking the same checkbox.

A prompt will appear to confirm your input and selection. Click on Confirm to proceed.

Once confirmed, the recipient of the share link will be prompted to enter the password before accessing the product information within the link.

Instant Sharing Option

You can also share your product or catalog links instantly via email, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, or WhatsApp.

 Simply choose your preferred platform, and a share link will appear, allowing you to easily distribute it through the selected channel.
