Improving and Adding Music to Your Videos

Improving Your Photos and Videos

To configure the image or video quality settings, click the Settings cogwheel at the top right-hand corner of your Application home screen.

Save photos in max resolution

When this setting is on, the GemLightbox Application will capture images in the highest and optimal resolution your smartphone device's camera is capable of. For example, the iPhone 7 will capture at 3024x3024 resolution for square images.

When this setting is off, images will be captured in 1080x1080 resolution, which is ideal for most website and e-commerce platform specifications.

For Android users only, when this setting is on, the video resolution will be saved in 2160x2160 resolution. When this setting is off, videos will be saved in 1080x1080 resolution.

Save photos as 300dpi (Only available on iOS)

When this setting is on, your images will be saved in 300dpi ("print quality").

When this setting is off, your images will be saved in 72dpi.

Save videos in 4K (Only available on iOS)

When this setting is on, your videos will be saved in 4K (2160x2160 resolution).

When this setting is off, your videos will be saved in 1080p (1080x1080 resolution).

Please note that configuring your settings to the highest quality (300dpi images and 4K videos) will result in larger files saved to your GemLightbox Application. On average, with all settings toggled, images will save at 3-4Mb and videos at 40 Mb.

We recommend uploading your files to a Cloud service such as Dropbox or OneDrive to manage their smartphone storage space.
