Why is the GemCam Lagging?

If your GemCam appears to be lagging, it may be due to performance issues with your computer. For optimal performance of GemCam without latency, your system should meet the following recommended requirements:

GemLightbox MacOS App

  • MacOS 13.0 (Ventura) or above
  • Safari 15.0 or above
  • Mac models supported: https://support.apple.com/en-hk/HT213264
  • Active internet connection of at least 25 Mbps (both upload and download) recommended

GemHub Web App for Windows

  • Windows 10 or above
  • Chrome (109 or above) or Edge (116 or above)
  • Intel Core i5 or equivalent AMD processor (minimum), Intel Core i7 or equivalent (recommended)
  • Minimum 8GB RAM, 16GB or above recommended
  • Dedicated graphics card supporting 4K resolution, such as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or higher, or AMD equivalent
  • USB 3.0 or above port
  • UVC (USB Video Class) 1.5 or above
  • Bluetooth 4.2 or above
  • Active internet connection of at least 25 Mbps (both upload and download) recommended
While GemCam can run on systems with lesser hardware, and other browsers like Firefox & Opera, we cannot guarantee performance.
