Camera Settings on IOS and Android Explained

Setting the Camera

Save photo in max resolution

This setting allows you to save the image at its maximum possible resolution. This means that you will save a high-resolution version of your jewelry photography.

When this setting is on, the GemLightbox Application will capture images in the highest and optimal resolution your smartphone device's camera is capable of. For example, the iPhone 7 will capture at 3024x3024 resolution for square images.

When this setting is off, images will be captured in 1080x1080 resolution, which is ideal for most website and e-commerce platform specifications.

Save photo as 300dpi

This setting allows you to save your jewelry photography at a specific resolution of 300 dots per inch (dpi).

Save videos in 4K

This setting allows you to save your jewelry videos in a high-resolution format known as 4K. It offers a much higher level of detail and sharpness, and you can ensure that your jewelry videos are saved in the highest possible resolution.

Please note that configuring your settings to the highest quality (300dpi images and 4K videos) will result in larger files saved to your GemLightbox Application. On average, with all settings toggled, images will save at 3-4Mb and videos at 40 Mb.

The "Enable delay timer" feature in the GemLightbox application is designed to reduce camera shake and movement when capturing product images using your smartphone camera.

The manual focus feature in the GemLightbox application allows you to take control of the focus point and manually adjust it to ensure that your images are sharp and in focus.
