Why Are My Videos Lagging or Not Saving in GemHub?

If your videos are lagging, freezing, or not saving when taken with the GemCam Pro, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Clear the Cache

Temporary files can sometimes slow down performance.

  1. Open GemHub.

  2. Go to Help → Troubleshooting.

  3. Click Clear Cache & Local Data.

  4. Confirm the pop-up to restart the app.

  5. Test recording again.

💡 Tip: Clearing the cache only removes temporary files — your photos and videos will remain safe.

Uninstall and Reinstall GemHub

If the issue persists after clearing the cache:

  1. Uninstall the GemHub application from your computer.

  2. Download and install the latest version from the GemHub download page.

    • Windows: Microsoft Store

    • Mac: App Store

  3. Log in and test recording again.

Updating ensures you have the latest performance improvements and bug fixes.

Lower the Recording Resolution

High-resolution settings may cause lag on some computers which do not meet the system's recommended specifications

  1. In GemHub, open GemCam Settings.

  2. Adjust the resolution to 1200 × 1200 or the lowest resolution available.

  3. Try recording another video.

Additional Tips

  • Close other applications while recording to free up system resources.

  • Ensure your computer meets GemHub’s system requirements and has sufficient disk space.

  • If using an external camera, make sure it’s not being used by another application.
