How to Use the Erase Brush and Zoom Tool in the GemHub

Quick Answer

Use the Zoom and Erase Brush tools in the GemHub's image editor to magnify specific areas of your jewelry photos and precisely remove unwanted elements, such as dust, blemishes, or background imperfections.

Before You Start

  • You will need an image saved in your GemIQ gallery that you wish to edit.

Steps

Open GemIQ and go to your gallery.

Tap on the image you want to edit to open it.

Tap the pencil icon to open the image editor.

The Pencil Icon for Editing an Image

Select the Zoom tool and magnify the part of the image you want to refine. You can also pinch to zoom on mobile devices.

Using the Zoom Tool to Enlarge a Section of an Image

Select the Erase Brush tool. You may be able to adjust the brush size for more precise editing.

Selecting the Erase Brush to Remove Imperfections

Carefully brush over the area you want to remove.

Once you are satisfied with the result, tap Save to apply your changes.

Expected Result

Your edited image will be saved to the GemHub gallery with the selected imperfections removed.

If This Does Not Work

  • Make sure your GemIQ is updated to the latest version.

  • If the changes do not save, check your internet connection and try again.

  • If you cannot find the Erase Brush tool, it may be part of a specific GemStudio subscription plan. Check your account's feature access.

Common Mistakes

  • Forgetting to zoom in before using the Erase Brush, which can lead to imprecise edits.

  • Using a brush size that is too large for the blemish you are trying to remove.

  • Exiting the editor without saving your changes.
