Switching Between Resolutions With Your GemCam Pro on GemHub Desktop Application

Adjusting resolution allows you to balance image quality and performance depending on your workflow needs.

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

  • Your GemCam Pro is connected to your computer
  • The GemHub desktop application is installed and running
  • Your GemLightbox device is connected to the desktop application
  • Your device is recognized within the application

Steps to Change Resolution

  1. Open the GemHub Desktop Application on your computer
  2. Connect and select your GemCam Pro device and click on Capture
  3. Navigate to the Camera Settings on the top right of the screen
  4. Locate the Resolution settings option near the bottom of the screen
  5. Select your preferred resolution from the available options

The new resolution settings will take effect immediately after selection.

Important Notes
  • Higher resolutions provide greater image detail but may reduce processing speed
  • Lower resolutions may improve performance and enable faster image capture

Troubleshooting

Resolution options are not visible

  • Ensure your application is updated to the latest version
  • Restart the GemHub Desktop Application
  • Disconnect and reconnect your GemCam Pro

Changes do not apply

  • Check that the device is properly connected
  • Restart your computer and the GemCam Pro
