With the release of the latest version 2.0.2 (37), Apple users are now able to configure their image and video quality.
To configure your GemLightbox settings, click the Settings cogwheel at the top right-hand corner of your Application home screen.
When this setting is on, your GemLightbox Application will automatically connect to the most recent GemLightbox Turntable it was previously connected to.
Save photos in max resolution
When this setting is on, the GemLightbox Application will capture images in the highest resolution your smartphone device's camera is capable of. (For example, the iPhone 7 will capture at 3024x3024 resolution for square images.)
When this setting is off, images will be captured in 1080x1080 resolution, which is ideal for most website and e-commerce platform specifications.
Save photos as 300dpi
When this setting is on, your images will be saved in 300dpi ("print quality").
When this setting is off, your images will be saved in 72dpi.
Save videos in 4K
When this setting is on, your videos will be saved in 4K (3840x2160 resolution).
When this setting is off, your videos will be saved in 1080p (1920x1080 resolution).
Auto brightness for photos
When this setting is on, your images will automatically be placed on a studio quality white background - simply zoom in and capture. You will still be able to adjust the image settings as needed by tapping on the item and adjusting the brightness on the side.
When this setting is off, your images will require the usual adjusting process - zoom in, tap to focus, adjust brightness and capture.
Videos will require the usual adjusting process aforementioned.
Please note that configuring your settings to the highest quality (300dpi images and 4K videos) will result in larger files saved to your GemLightbox Application. On average, with all settings toggled, images will save at 3-4mb and videos at 40mb.
We recommend users to upload their files to a Cloud service such as Dropbox or OneDrive to manage their smartphone storage space.
