Camera Settings on IOS and Android Explained

Setting the Camera

Save Photo in Max Resolution

This setting enables you to save images at your smartphone’s highest possible resolution.

  • When ON: The app captures images at the maximum resolution your device allows (e.g., 3024x3024 on an iPhone 7).

  • When OFF: Images are saved at 1080x1080 resolution, which is optimal for most websites and e-commerce platforms.

Save Photo as 300dpi

This setting allows you to save images at 300 dots per inch (dpi), ideal for high-quality print use or close-up digital viewing.

Save Videos in 4K

When enabled, videos are saved in 4K resolution, offering a higher level of sharpness and detail—perfect for showcasing fine craftsmanship in your jewelry videos.

Note: Enabling both 300dpi and 4K settings will increase file sizes. On average:

  • Images: 3–4MB

  • Videos: 40MB

Enable delay timer

Activating the delay timer reduces camera shake by adding a short delay before capturing the image. This is especially useful when using a tripod or shooting in low light.

Enable Macro Lens (iPhone Pro and Pro Max only)

This option allows users with compatible iPhones to toggle between standard and macro lenses.

  • Once enabled, tap the flower icon on the bottom-left of the capture screen to activate the macro mode.

  • This feature is ideal for photographing small jewelry pieces up close.

  • Ensure your lens is clean for the sharpest results.

This will allow you to capture close-up images with greater detail and clarity. Make sure the lens is clean for optimal performance.

Reset All Camera Settings to Default

Tap the Reset button on the camera viewer to quickly restore all camera settings in the GemHub app to their original defaults. This helps ensure optimal performance if any settings were changed.
